Cycling

This steep curve "curve of youth" is part of the former Dessau race track, which also stretched over part of the A9 south of the Dessau-Süd exit. The banked curve is slowly becoming overgrown and the concrete finish line is being reclaimed more and more by nature.

Cycling

The steep curve of the former race track on the Reichsautobahn served as a loop for driving laps. The motorway had no central reservation in the area of the race track and the bridges had no central pillars. The bridges are still preserved as they are. A second loop was always set up south of the motorway for the races and dismantled after the races. Several world records were set on the race track.
