Nordic walking

Up until the 1970s, here in Barntrup and in many Lippe communities, there were wooden fins in front of the houses, which had a decisive influence on the townscape of Barntrup. Big, small, round and square; pure works of art, beautiful to look at.

In winter, trees were felled, sawn and the wood was chopped into logs in a sweat-inducing work.

The old Barntrupers, however, refilled their personal energy loss from time to time with a sip from their hip flask.
