There was already a church here in the second half of the 13th century, which was thoroughly renovated and rebuilt in 1727 after the destruction of the Thirty Years' War. The masonry, tower portal and the two southern entrances are from the time it was built.

In 1803 the church was completely destroyed by fire and rebuilt in 1805. During this time the church received a plastered brick tower top. The pulpit altar and organ are from 1820. The church has had an organ since March 25, 1883, built by the organ builder Hollenbach from Neuruppin.
