The neat little church was doomed and only a lack of funds saved it from demolition in the 1970s. Everything that hadn't been stolen or sold - like the bronze bell from 1721 at the Elisabeth Hospital in Berlin - rotted away unsightly. After the fall of the wall, people from East and West found themselves who wanted to revive the architectural gem in the midst of beautiful nature. Today the little church is beautiful to look at in the countryside and is once again serving its original purpose. The church is open every day all year round and is a place of quiet contemplation. Church services, baptisms and weddings also take place. And on Saturday there is a country women’s café on the meadow next door.

Half-timbered church, renovated after 1989. Nice place to stay. On the south side of the church in the cemetery is a tap with fresh water.
