The Ehrenhoven reservoir is located in the Aggertal between Honor Hoven and Vilkerath in the Bergisches Land. It was put into operation in 1932. At almost 100 meters above zero, the reservoir is the lowest point in the Oberberg district. It holds 0.324 hm³ and feeds a hydroelectric power station.

Hiking

The Agger is dammed in a small area and forms a mini reservoir that is used to generate electricity. The small hydroelectric power station produces an average of 1.75 million kWh of electricity. A test area for deciduous and coniferous trees that can withstand climate change is directly adjacent to the reservoir. The circular path around the reservoir is ideal for a walk.
