You walk in a special place here. Stadspark de Hout is one of the oldest city parks in the Netherlands and was laid out in 1607. It is a concept in Alkmaar where many recreational and cultural activities traditionally take place.

There was a kolf track, trotting track, cages with apps, music, a swimming pool and the old AZ stadium was also located here.

Free events and concerts are regularly organized in spring and summer at the music alcove under the ancient trees. In the heart of the park you will find the more than 100 year old deer park.
