From Wikipedia: "Due to the steadily increasing number of guests and the increase in mail volume, the Prussian Post Office rented a first post office building in 1888. On April 1, 1892, the still existing post office in the city center was inaugurated. In addition to a post office, shops and official apartments were housed in this building . The striking building has been a listed building since 1989."
