Here was once the village of Finstrup with the parish church and vicarage. The village was demolished over 300 years ago. 100 years ago you could still see the remains of the town houses. The church was built in the 11th century. It was already closed in the 14th century. The church ruins are excavated again by the National Museum in 1870-71 and again in 1908. The church was built of granite, but some of the additions were made of red large creek stones.
