The Glörtalsperre is a small dam on the border of the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis and the Märkisches Kreis. The water surface is divided equally between the towns and communities of Breckerfeld, Schalksmühle and Halver. The Glör is dammed.

The dam, a curved gravity dam made of rubble masonry, is 168 m long and 32 m high. The dam was renovated between 2000 and 2003. The water was drained. She got a walkway blasted in and drains coming out of the walkway. The air side was repaired with shotcrete and all operating facilities were renewed.
