The Protestant Silvesterkirche in Hausen was first mentioned in 1449 as the "fortified church of St. Silvester" and was characterized by a mighty ring wall and a stair tower. The late Gothic nave was rebuilt into its current form between 1739 and 1743.
In the eastern part of the complex is the massive tower, which is connected to a three-sided choir. To the south of this choir is the old sacristy, which previously served as an ossuary. An epitaph by the Hausen stonemason Johann Wieland from 1748 on the south side provides information about the construction and consecration of the church.

The protestant parish church of St. Silvester was built as a fortified church with a surrounding wall. It was first mentioned in 1438. In 1447 the church and village came to the Herrrenalb monastery as a gift from the "Lords of Hausen". The church was renovated in 1898 and expanded in 1960. Another renovation took place in 1966/67.
