Attractions around Weil der Stadt

The valley is awesome, beautiful and long. However, you should wear really good shoes, because you often have to cross the stream at unsecured places. Especially in damp weather, the stones in the stream are slippery!

Easy to walk on with sturdy shoes. After rainy days, the inspection may be more difficult under circumstances.

Small waterfall, but at least one of the largest in this section of Monbachtal. The water is crystal clear. Great place for a break.

Coming from Kentheim after a somewhat steeper ascent, you come to the Stubenfelsen. The rock group has overhangs and cave-like niches. One feels reminded of the story of Ronja the robber's daughter (Astrid Lindgren).

When the water level is normal, it is not a problem to walk over the stones and cross the stream. Up to the upper part of the gorge there are several crossings that arouse enthusiasm, especially among children.

A very beautiful monastery ruin, which we liked to look at. The church, which is directly adjacent to the ruins, is definitely worth a visit. We will definitely be back.
