06/04/2022 - The Prater meadows are a natural jewel in the middle of Vienna. When people talk about the Prater, most people mean the amusement park. However, the much larger area of the park in the second district is the so-called Prater landscape or the Prater meadows. Here, the route marked as Stadtwanderweg 9 leads along romantic forest paths past rustic floodplain landscapes and numerous rest stops. The Krebsenwasser and Mauthnerwasser are natural monuments and the last remnants of an original meadow landscape in the middle of the city.
