The short city (okay, outskirts) escape helps partially. It is admittedly a touch cooler here than in Vienna, but after yesterday's rain, it was terribly humid today when I set off. At least the lake afterwards wasn't as hot as yesterday afternoon.
Typical problems along the way: A path I wanted to take

I'm now finding almost the route I had planned before running. 😉

With the temperature, the comfort also increases again. Although it remained mostly cloudy, I still didn't enjoy walking up the road. I much prefer a walk around the forest up there.
Yesterday or during the night, it seems to have rained in small areas in Vienna too. The garden and the Steinhof grounds

When I'm so scatterbrained that I take the bus all the way to Sankt Lorenz instead of getting off at Oberkienstock, I have to trudge back along the Danube unplanned. That's what happens when I planned the route a few weeks ago and want to go today with suitable weather and time, without looking closely

I did need several short drinking breaks, but on the other hand, I managed all the climbs without walking (okay, at a very slow and senior-like pseudo-jog). At least. 😁
The most arduous part was the tire tracks in the Schottenwald. I've never taken this path before. Hopefully, it's not always so badly tracked.

Today I was on a highly recommended guided tour at the Ernst Fuchs Museum in the Otto Wagner Villa. With the NÖ-Card, I had already viewed the museum in peace on my own beforehand. However, you always learn much more or different things on a guided tour, and our guide was a great storyteller, entertaining

Someone has shrunk the lake since last year. The route seems significantly shorter. 😁
To catch the misty atmosphere in the morning, I would have had to get up when I first woke up. However, at the displayed, credible outside temperature of 11°, I decided against crawling out of my sleeping bag. Therefore

Today is perfect running weather. Only for the view into the Drautal would it have been nicer if the clouds had been at least a little higher. 😉
The route is wonderful to run. That I have to walk the steepest sections was clear from the beginning. However, that the steepest part is built out with steps

I once again deviated from the original plan to run around the Heuberg en route. The rain from yesterday has come through in places, but under the trees it is still partly dry.
I should be careful not just in newly opened pasture areas where I step. In the garden, after running, I accidentally stepped

At the Silbersee, I was able to successfully test the new extension tube for my lens, which was a gift, for photographing the heron. At home, my son later showed me some things about handling my camera. I'm curious to see what I've remembered and can try out next time. 😉
At the Steinhofgründen, it seemed

It would be high time for rain. It's already bone dry up on the Heuberg, while further down in the forest there's still a bit of moisture. However, I would find it nice if it didn't rain tomorrow afternoon as currently announced. I've arranged a Mother's Day replacement date with my children for that

It was time once again to skillfully ignore what I can and cannot do. Starting from Leopoldsberg would have been a nice idea, but the buses only run there from 9 am. At least I now know where the archery course is hidden.
Vogelsangberg accidentally ended up on my route (turned too early), but it's always

A relaxed morning round, before I spend the day at local waters (i.e. at home) instead of in Carinthia, to keep an eye on whether my garden also needs to be dug up in the search for water damage. 🙄

For a change, I was once again on the side facing Vienna.
I took the path that the forest workers made with their equipment up to Heuberg. It runs quite pleasantly.
After that, I also included the Jubiläumswarte, though on pause. I could tackle the stairs sportily and quickly sometime, today it was simply

Actually, I wanted to do a small loop around the Bassgeigensee again. As last year, the bridge is broken and closed. I assume this will remain the case for a while longer.
At least it wasn't as muggy this morning as yesterday. Hot alone is also enough.
