Lay-Haus Hotel, Felsenkeller & Sculptures

The first mention of today's Lay House dates back to the mid-12th century, making it one of the oldest houses in town. With the settlement of the area, the Franks settled down here with an agricultural property.
Around the year 1550, the property at that time was acquired by Georg von Schönberg and converted or extended into a gift and fiefdom. In the decades that followed, the ancient three-sided farm blossomed into a brewery in conjunction with the manor.
