        The Totenstein is the highest point of the Rabensteiner ridge. The old tower had to be demolished in 1953 due to its dilapidation. In its place, a massive radio tower was later built, which still exists on the mountain top today. Almost 100 meters east of it, a new, 30-meter-high observation tower was built in 1998 based on the model of the old tower for 300,000 DM, which was inaugurated on October 4, 1998. The dedication was: "To the mountain for decoration, the people for joy". The tower bears the name Maria-Josepha-Turm again, can be climbed free of charge and offers a comprehensive view of the Ore Mountains and the Ore Mountains foreland when the weather is nice.
