"The church, begun in 1957 and consecrated in 1958 by Bishop Joseph Schröffer of Eichstätt, is one of the youngest sacred buildings in the district and was built for the residents of the mainly evangelical Nennslingen who had moved here as refugees or expellees. On the front there is a glass painting by the artist Emil Böhm, which shows the Mother of God as a protective cloak. In 2002, a people's altar with a depiction of Christ was consecrated. A special feature of the church is that it was built on an oval ground plan."
