Hiking

Falkenstein Castle dates back to the 12th century. The castle consists of two systems, which lie on two rock pillars. The lower castle is no longer accessible today because it was on an exposed rock pillar. The upper castle was opened up again. Walls several meters high have survived from both complexes, which appear to be well maintained today thanks to numerous safeguards and maintenance work. All the buildings, the moat and the outer bailey can still be seen. The upper castle can be visited, the lower castle is not.
