Vulkaneifel Nature Experience Center (NEZ)

The NEZ in Darscheid in the Vulkaneifel pursues a holistic and action-oriented overall concept. It offers many experimental and creative opportunities for all generations to find pleasure and energy for a natural and sustainable lifestyle.

The fields of action for sustainable development in the “village of the future” are: nature and species protection, work - energy & living, culture & living together, social interaction.

The NEZ's sponsoring association is the Darscheid Bird Protection Group, which has been successfully committed to the environment, nature, and culture in the village since 1956. The NEZ has been established since 2004 through the active involvement of over 500 people, primarily through civic engagement, and with the support of various sponsors, institutions, and committees.
