The steeple of the Krögis church can be seen from afar.

Story:
In 1733 the current church was consecrated as a completely new building. The following year the new tower erected over the center of the church was also completed. After lightning had devastated the church and tower in 1773, 1743, 1768 and 1794, it had to be removed. Only 40 years later, when a big fire had caused a lot of damage in the village and also on the church, the current tower on the west side of the church was built in 1835.
In 1850 the interior of the church was completely altered and a classical pulpit altar was installed. The previous altar from 1660 can now be seen in the Wolfgangskapelle in Meißen. At the end of the 19th century the old organ had to be replaced. Since then, an instrument made by the company Eule from Bautzen has been played in the church during the service. In the Saxon church gallery one can read about the Krögiser church: "Even if the church is not characterized by an outstanding design on the outside nor by valuable decorative objects on the inside, it is nevertheless light and spacious."
