The history of the Turnova project goes back – broadly speaking – to 1797, when the Brepols printing house was founded, which grew into one of the largest printing works in Europe in the 1930s. In 1974, the Brepols printing plant moved to the industrial estate near the highway, creating a kind of no man's land behind the dilapidated buildings on the Grote Markt.
Now it is a new hip neighborhood in Turnhout.
