The cave is located about 1000 meters east of Plech on a rock-strewn slope.

The approximately two meters wide and three meters deep shaft entrance was artificially expanded by blasting. The total length of the cave is about 60 meters and is only walkable in the entrance area. It is strongly blocked and narrows to a low level. Dripstones and significant sintered jewelry can not be found. A drive is not advisable for beginners. In the cave cadastre Franconian Alb (HFA) it is designated with the cadastral number D 37 and by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment as a natural monument.
