The Halde Haniel in Bottrop is with 159 m height one of the highest heaps of the Ruhr area. It was piled up in the form of two spirals through overburden of the coal mine Prosper-Haniel. In the north, the heap Schöttelheide joins.

From the Halde Haniel you have a nice view of the mine.
