The palace in Tychy was erected in 1685 as a hunting manor of the Pszczyna princes from the Promnitz family. In the years 1766–1782 the prince of Pszczyna, Friedrich Erdmann von Anhalt-Köthen-Pleß, commissioned its extension, which gave the building the form of a palace residence.
After the construction of the hunting lodge in Promnice, the functions of the palace in Tychy decreased and it was handed over to the forestry office. In the 19th century, the Hochbergs founded the Browarniany Park around the facility, which gained a cultural and recreational function.

When planning a cycling or walking route around the Tyskie Brewing Museum (ul. Katowicka 9), be sure to stop on the other side of the street, at Katowicka 2 Zespół Pałacowo-Parkowy in Tychy. You will see a charming, two-story palace with a characteristic, high mansard roof Tychy dzisiaj. It was from this place and the Promnitz family that the great history of Tychy brewing began.
