The Hof zu Wil is the landmark and the original cell of the city of Wil, its stone history book, a cultural monument of national importance. It takes us through the ages to the present day.Far beyond the borders of the city and region of Wil, the Hof zu Wil is one of the most valuable cultural assets. In its more than 800-year history it has experienced a lot: 500 years of abbots and almost 200 years of beer brewing have left their mark. A foundation has been responsible for the farm since the mid-1990s. The foundation has set itself the goal of making the Hof zu Wil available to the public as a meeting point for social and cultural encounters.In addition to the gastronomy, which manages numerous rooms in the Wil courtyard, such as the restaurant on the ground floor, three halls on the first floor, the vaulted cellar in the basement and 2 meeting rooms on the 2nd floor, there is also the city museum and the new city library in the Wil courtyard .

With more than 800 years of history, the Hof zu Wil shines far beyond the borders of the city and region as an important and obligatory cultural heritage. It was placed under federal protection in 1979 and is classified as a monument of national importance.
