Krakow-Rakowice-Czyżyny Airport - a former, disbanded airport located in the Czyżyny district of Krakow near the Rakowice district, since 2003 again occasionally active in part of its original area as the Rakowice-Czyżyny landing site of the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow.

The airport was established in 1912 in connection with the development of Austro-Hungarian aviation. In 1917 it became one of the stage points of the first regular postal airline in Europe connecting Vienna with Kiev and Odessa. Initially, it occupied an area of 55 ha and included the base of the aviation department: hangars, an officer's building, a transport vehicle depot, and a fuel depot. Later, they were expanded with a barracks complex consisting of five buildings, a park with tennis courts, a balloon hall and technical facilities.

After regaining independence and the takeover of the airport facilities by the Polish military authorities, the first Polish combat unit, the so-called Air Squadron (later 1st Squadron). Then the base was expanded by creating repair and production workshops, the Lower Pilot School and other squadrons. In 1921, the 2nd Aviation Regiment was established on the basis of the existing technical facilities. In the mid-1920s, the Polish military authorities decided to expand the airport. On July 18, 1923, the Civil Aviation Station Krakow was opened, which resulted in the creation of the second largest airport in Poland. In 1938, the international line Warsaw-Krakow-Budapest was launched.

During the September campaign, the 122nd fighter squadron was stationed here.

During World War II, the airport was taken over by the Germans, after its end it lost its importance due to the densely developed buildings in the surrounding areas.
