Quarter milestone on the post road Grossenhain - Königsbrück - Kamenz - Bautzen - Görlitz - Breslau. On via-regia.org you can read that the original route of the Via Regia had fallen into oblivion, only came to our attention in 2003 and was cleared by the Lausnitz Forestry Office, so that today it is again accessible to pilgrims. This refers to the route signposted as Via Regia. There was once a parallel route from Schönfeld via Thiendorf to Königsbrück, which eventually became the Grossenhain – Königsbrück – Kamenz – Bautzen – Görlitz – Breslau post route as part of the Via Regia. This is pretty much identical to today's B 98, which runs parallel to today's tour, because that's where the quarter-milestones (Königsbrück, Thiendorf, Quersa) and the whole-mile pillars (northeast of Tauscha, Schönfeld) are located.
