Cute community with some historic churches and buildings along the alternate route between Figuera and Mira, avoiding the dark forest which has no views. According to the portuguese wikipedia, the Nossa Senhora da Tocha Church, also known as Nossa Senhora D'Atocha (name of Spanish origin), originated in a small chapel built by João Garcia Bacelar, a Pontevedrense, in 1610 to fulfill a promise made to Nossa Senhora D'Atocha. When he found himself shipwrecked, he said that if he survived, he would build an altar for Our Lady on the beach where he arrived. This beach was Praia da Tocha
