The miners' prayer house is the only one of its kind in the Ruhr area.

The miners' prayer house from 1830 was once a meeting place for miners from the Muttental mines. It also served as a blacksmith's shop, where the miners had their gear (tools) made and repaired. The listed building is the last of its kind in the Ruhr area.
