The Talamini Refuge is located in the municipality of Vodo di Cadore, at an altitude of 1582 m, in the locality of Col Botei, in the presence of peaks such as Pelmo, Civetta and Antelao. It can be reached from the side of the Val di Zoldo (Zoppè), from that of Cadore (Vodo) and from Passo Cibiana. Open from December to March and from June to September, it offers refreshment service with traditional dishes such as goulash, canederli, casunziei, grilled cheese and Ampezzo potatoes. It has a maximum of 6 beds in the dormitory.
It is named in memory of Gianpietro Talamini (Vodo di Cadore, November 19, 1845 - Venice, September 22, 1934), the Italian journalist and founder of the Gazzettino (and director of the newspaper for almost 50 years).
