The Città di Fiume Refuge was obtained from an ancient hut; the architectural features testify to its origin: three arches, the base of the structure in stone and the remaining part in wood. Only in 1964 did it go from being a hut to a refuge.

A former cowshed (originated from the 17th century) turned into a refugio in 1964. The style of the two-story building recalls the traditional cowsheds in the region.

You need a minimum of training and endurance, the climb is still demanding but substantially within the reach of even the Sunday trekker, just take the necessary breaks without wanting to set ascent records. Once you get to the hut, it's very simple.
