The Haverlandt-Haus is better known to locals as the Hotel Ritter St. Georg. One of the former owners was Paul Breitner, who not only played for Bayern Munich but also in Braunschweig. Opposite the hotel is the Jewish Community Center; a high bunker stands on the site of the burned down synagogue.

In 1489, Hans Haverlandt built the Ritter St. Georg house.
With its late Gothic carvings, it is considered the most important fully preserved half-timbered house in Braunschweig.
The solid wall on the ground floor belongs to a previous building, a medieval stone house.
The monument houses a hotel.
Baroque ceiling paintings can be admired in the former hallway.
