The city gate (also called Karlstor) built by the citizens of Neckargemünd in honor of Elector Karl-Theodor was completed in 1788. It was designed by Hofkammerrat Friedrich Christoph Dyckerhoff (1751-1834) and is decorated with amphorae and coats of arms.
