Obenrüden and Untenrüden are historic farmsteads in Solingen, distinguished by their blade-making traditions and traditional half-timbered construction. Obenrüden was particularly known for the Obenrüdener Kotten, an industrial monument rebuilt after a fire in 1906. Untenrüden also had a Kotten, the Hilbertzkotten, which was used as a grinding mill until 1979.
