Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Several moor lakes, the origin of which dates back to the last ice age around 10,000 years ago. To explore via a plank path.

The boardwalk is extremely beautiful and offers many beautiful views of the lake. Unfortunately, too many dog owners leave the legacy of their dogs on the narrow path (with or without bag).

Here you will find an unspoilt raised bog landscape, which can be visited via the wooden plank path. Notice boards provide information about the bog with the habitat for rare animals and plants. Whether summer or winter, you will always find a postcard motif here. I like it almost better than the Wildsee. The best thing is not just to walk through, but to take your time and let the landscape take its effect on you from one of the benches.

Simply beautiful from a natural perspective.
Hochmoor and Bannwald - great

Picturesque landscape with idyllic peace - there are along the boardwalk some large benches that invite you to rest and relax.

Nice quiet area - ideal to relax thanks to the many benches with a beautiful view of the lake. Only swimming is unfortunately not allowed to disturb the wildlife;)

The less known moorland. Here is much less going on than on the other side towards Grünhütte.

Little visited way. When it rains, it's a bit greasy. Otherwise, but beautiful and quiet. The lake can only be observed from one side, because the rest is already overgrown. Still recommended, as the boardwalk and the wild nature are beautiful.

Beautifully laid out path through the bog on the Hohloh.
Some benches have been set up, on which you can take a break in this special piece of nature (please take the garbage back with you).
There are also some information boards with interesting information about the raised bogs.

Edit 2019/05: Compared to older pictures, the plank path seems to have been recently renovated.

Less visited than the boardwalk direction Grünhütte. Nevertheless, just as nice and very relaxed.

Southern Finland in the Black Forest?
Lots of peace and nature
According to Black Forest Tourism:
Here, hikers and nature lovers can expect great experiences in breathtakingly beautiful nature, which in many places is not "typical Black Forest".
👍👍👍 That hits it .. Highly recommended Empfehlen

Most of the boardwalks have been redone and no longer correspond to the photos.
Apart from that, a beautiful stretch of road on the way to the Hohlohturm or Wildsee

Simply gorgeous wooden footbridge through the high moor. Personally, I liked the old boardwalk (railway sleepers) better than the new boardwalk. You only get to see the Great Hohlohsee. The little one is hidden in the forest.

The path through the moor has been the new footbridge since, at least from the road, it is no longer so beautiful, but the view has remained. I've walked here long in both fog and sunshine. Both times the path is something special. Especially when it is foggy, the atmosphere is very special.

The wood will probably soon be renewed on this beautiful, clocky boardwalk, according to the quantities I saw (May 2019). I am very curious how long it will take for the "fresh" wood to look "clocky" again.

There are two Hohloh lakes, we can only see the big Hohlohsee, the smaller one is behind it.

Moorsee above Kaltenbronn. Beautiful benches on the wooden walkway invite you to rest.

The path leads from the tower to the lake. So it's on the way anyway. And that's good ;-)
