Just to applaud...
The historic avenue structure of the Vrieselhof will be restored. Beech trees are being replaced by more resistant sessile oaks. The lane is also extended a bit. Winter lime trees are growing in the new part of the drift. Both native tree species have a better chance of survival in the changing climate. A number of trees have been felled to give the new plantation every opportunity to grow into a full-fledged avenue. In this way, sufficient light can reach the newly planted trees and they can grow straight up into full-fledged floating trees.
What's stopping you from coming here for a stroll? The drift trees will certainly charm you.
