This bunker is one of three bunkers in the Vrieselhof domain. The bunkers were built in the late 1930s to defend the Antitankgracht. The bunkers are not accessible to people, but they are to bats. They like to live in a wooded and wetland area. Long-eared bats, bearded bats, water bats and fringe-tailed bats love the rather chilly and humid bunker climate in their hibernation. Each bunker is adapted to create the best possible wintering climate.
