A small hermitage that also takes refuge, has a fireplace and a table to sit on

Surrounded by the group of rocks of the Flutes, the site of the hermitage of Sant Salvador is a beautifully found viewpoint, one thousand seven hundred steps from that of Sant Antoni and thirty-five minutes from the Camino de Santa Anna.

We took advantage of an open air balm in the middle of the great cliff. The natural space of the rock was first used as a shelter; later the hermitage was built, and the oratory was excavated in the stone in a semicircular shape, about three and a half meters in diameter, and was dedicated to the transfiguration of the Lord.

In 1817 the hermitage was rebuilt and like the others rehabilitated, it was abandoned in 1822 by order of the Community.

This hermitage was not dedicated to one of the many people whom we venerate as blessed or saints because of a martyrdom they suffered or their exemplary Christian life testimony and ask for their heavenly intercession with God; it was dedicated to the incarnate Son of God, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Savior ("San Salvador").
