Königsbach was first mentioned in documents in 1252. 1429 receive the lords of Venningen Königsbach as a fief of Margrave Friedrich von Brandenburg. In July 1622 Königsbach was burned down by imperial troops during the Thirty Years' War. The residents who fled to the church are murdered there. Around 1650, part of the village comes under the rule of the margraves of Baden.In 1756 Margrave Karl Friedrich abolished serfdom by a letter of mercy. In 1806, the noble part of Königsbach fell to Baden. In 1863 Königsbach received a railway station on the railway line Karlsruhe-Mühlacker.The Baden revolutionary Friedrich Wilhelm Henninger was from 1872 pastor in Königsbach, where he died in 1881.
