The Eisinger Loch (more precisely the new and old Eisingen Loch) are collapse sinkholes that were created when the groundwater washed out water-soluble rock layers below the collapse, so that the layers of earth above collapsed. As a geological monument, they offer a good insight into the geology of the landscape and its structure.

It's fascinating what can be seen here, hidden and inconspicuous. It's worth a visit. Maybe just go for a nice hike or bike ride and enjoy a picnic. A very beautiful place.

A detour across the fields is definitely worth it. We are in this region very often, but we have never seen the Eisinger Loch. Was great!!
