The Flemish Nature Reserve De Westhoek is the oldest nature reserve in Flanders and extends over almost 350 hectares. As a walker you can enjoy the peace and serenity in this impressive dune landscape of De Westhoek. If you want to learn something about dunes, types of dunes, dune formation... then this is the place for you. The youngest among us can enjoy themselves in the strolling area of the nature reserve. In addition to bird watching, you might also come face to face with a Scottish highland cattle. Or a wild konik horse!

Prang between De Panne and the French border, as a walker you can enjoy the impressive dune landscape of De Westhoek. You can romp around in the roaming zone and you might see a Scottish Highland cattle or Konik horse passing by.
