The well-known Schattenweg, which also integrates the Neanderlandsteig, soon follows along the Holzer Bach to Fürkeltrath; always beautiful with head willow decorations and a green ravine.

"The 1.8 kilometer long Holzer Bach rises in a well in the middle of the Fürkeltrath farm in the northwest of the Gräfrath district of Solingen. It flows in a southerly direction through the wooded Holzer Bachtal named after it, which is accessible by hiking trails. The stream passes the farm Gütchen and feeds a small pond there before it reaches the Wald district at the Hofschaft Holz to the east. There it takes in the water from the small tributary Holzsiepen.
Further to the south, the Holzer Bach crosses under the Kotzerter Straße behind the Bausmühle and finally flows into the Itter in front of the Zieleskotten and the adjacent Gräfrath sewage treatment plant of the Bergisch-Rheinischer Wasserverband, which has already absorbed the water of the Nümmener Bach a little above..."
