Hiking

The railway was put into operation in June 1942. It also had overhead lines in the past, but it was rebuilt. After the operation was shut down after the fall of the Wall, the "Verein Kohlenbahn e.V." saved the route in 1996. Today there are special trips between Meruselwitz and Regis Breitingen on weekends and on public holidays.
