The only carnival museum in Germany is spread over two buildings, on the first 52 m. high leaning Falterturm, of which the popular saying says that the mortar with wine (instead of) water was touched and 2. the building in Rosenstraße 10 with the eye-catching facade and a multimedia show on the 2nd floor. It depicts the historical development of the carnival, the carnival customs with masks, costumes, medals. The beginning of the Celtic-Germanic early spring cults and goes on the medieval guild customs (something the Schembartlaufen in Nuremberg) to the politically motivated bourgeois carnival of the 19th century
