When the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, there was great joy in faraway Japan. So great that the TV station Asahi organized a nationwide fundraising campaign. The collected donations were to be used to plant Japanese cherry trees along the wall. Within a very short time, the equivalent of over a million euros was raised. From 1990 onwards, cherry trees were planted bit by bit along the wall and at other prominent locations in Berlin. In April and May, the traditional Hanami, the "viewing of the cherry blossoms", is celebrated here.

Beautiful in summer and in winter the splendor is very low. Still a nice avenue.
There are even small sports equipment. A nice idea.
