The Taubach rises on the eastern slope of the Great Finsterberg at about 800 meters altitude from the Ilmbrunnen. It continues in an easterly direction, past Wolfsgrube and Leutelstal, where its valley opens to a meadow landscape. In the lower Taubachtal lies the Waldbad Stützerbach, below which the Taubach with Freibach and Lengwitz united to the Ilm (Wikipedia).
