Hergé, real name Georges Rémi: Belgian cartoonist and comic book author. Hergé was born on May 22, 1907 in Etterbeek (Belgium). He died on March 3, 1983 in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Brussels (Belgium). He is the father of Tintin.
This bronze sculpture is located in the center of Place Marengo in Angulema, the capital of comics and home of the famous Brussels drawing.
