The former refugee castle is only about 600 m from Plesse Castle in the forest, not far from Plessestraße. Also interesting are the geological formations of the lower shell limestone, a cliff edge in the middle of the forest. The "Plesse hiking trail" covers almost 14 km. It is a circular route that also leads along the remains of the ramparts of the refuge castle. Signs can be found behind the car park at Plesse Castle.
