Church of the Rosary, Girifalco
It is adjacent to the Matrice Church and dates back to the 18th or 19th century. However, it is not mentioned in the inventory of the holy chest in the chapter "Religious Fabrics." Its construction therefore took place after the earthquake of 1783, i.e., after the reconstruction of the church of the Dominican convent, which was elevated to the Matrice Church. Therefore, the friars (whose fraternity dates back to 1692), who had long been guests of the convent, which housed a Rosary Chapel, built a new church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary. The church was built on the ruined walls of the monastery's old pharmacy (ancient pharmacy or herbal shop). It has two Baroque naves, the left one hidden in the courtyard of the old monastery, accessible from the Church of the Mother of God. On the façade, the light-colored stone portal is surmounted by a circular single-lancet window flanked by two niches. At the top of the central arch is a coat of arms of the Dominican friars.
