Monte Covello represents the peak of this area and is crossed by many local cyclists who choose to reach it from its southern and northern slopes. The mountain is characterized by lush greenery, so although the panoramic view is not available, the surrounding environment is extremely beautiful and welcoming. Furthermore, the track of the "Alta Via Parchi Calabria" passes right here.

The summit of the 848 meter high Monte Covello is forested and therefore not a lookout point. At the highest point of the mountain, however, there is a statue of the Madonna. It is only a short walk from the road.

If you like climbing concrete slopes, then this route is recommended. We've traveled from one place to another and carried everything on bikes. Unfortunately, when the terrain doesn't help, it's more complicated. That's why I think the NUOVA CICLOBIA for bikes in CALABRIA is phenomenal and if you get a klaxon in your ear, you should wave your hand 👋🏼 😅😊
