The village of Jämlitz-Hütte was founded in 1815 when Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau initiated the construction of a glassworks near the village of Jämlitz. In addition to the glassworks, houses were built for the workers of the glassworks, a port room and, in 1847, the listed tavern. The only neighboring town in Brandenburg is Jämlitz. The snack bar Jämlitzer Hütte No. 2 is located directly on the street.
